I believe interested investors may need not go much further than have a close look at Bellevue Gold (BGD)
BGD currently enjoy a market capitalisation of ~$2 billion and have only just started producing some gold in the current quarter
They have a 1.2 mtpa plant (same as OBM) which will shortly be upgraded to ~1.5 mtpa (similar option available for OBM)
The Reserve grade for BGD ore is 6.1 g/t, compared to OBM at 4.3 (but OBM reserve number feels conservative to me as I suspect it was calculated historically on a wider mining methodology than may be used)
The exploration upside for both companies is open ended. (I would argue much better for OBM longer term)
2024 is likely to see a large ramp up in exploration and reserves/resources for OBM.
A future $2 billion market valuation would equate to an OBM share price comfortably above $1
A snapshot of BGD today may look rather similar to OBM in 12 months with their 2 underground’s feeding a similar sized plant with a similar grade of ore
If the BGD guys had the smarts, they would also be starting a conversation with Hawkes Point on the potential of building a future specialist underground gold mining house.
