Many businesses were already managed by Russians. According to Putin's recent speech manufacturing is up by a whopping 7%. The option of shutting shop then returning had been eliminated. The businesses must be sold. Divesting the Wests oil and gas infrastructure must have sacrificed billions in investments, and the Russians sure know how to run them. This is not just one sided. Remember when the German Govt decided to nationalize Gazprom. well I guess it works both ways. With fossil fuel exports going to countries like China, India, Turkey etc Russia seems to be doing ok.
