A "Rare" day indeed across the sector Ultratraderman.

What a day.

Just having a look at the highs reached today.

NTU - .40 Vol. 25.56mln Close. .34
NTUOA - .13 Vol. 1.22mln Close. .105 Ex/Pr .20
NTUOB - .16 Vol.13.91mln Close. .135 Ex/Pr .15

Approx.

25% of NTU shares were traded.
12% of NTUOA shares were traded.
50% of NTUOB shares were traded.

Well, whats driving this?

IMHO, it was a combination of events leading upto today.

1) Lynas becoming a major holder
2) The CR through a Rights Issue
3) The clear intent of the Board Re: ECE
4) The significant increases in Rare Earths Prices
5) LYC announcement of substantial upgrade of resource


You combine all that pre-market and we were heading for a massive day.

The 50% of NTUOB that was traded seems to me that if i was a major S/H or was about to become one the most economical option would be to buy the NTUOB at a 5.5 cent discount and convert to receive the 2 for 5 offer at .16

The other alternative is the NTUOA's offering only a 3.5 cent discount.

Either way, it would be the best opportunity rather than buying NTU's.

Well, will it continue tomorrow or even the coming days?

As you pointed out re: Shareholder Change Notices.
If there is any corporate activity IMO it will be game on.
There is only a short amount of time to take up the R/I. either by options or F/P's.

I also don't believe LYC or ARU have run out of steam.
Plenty of "Bot" activity and accumulation going on in LYC.

Would expect continued press coverage.
They mentioned tonight on ABC Business LateLine re: LYC's
resource upgrade. All good for the sector.

What about after the R/I?

Corporate activity could be the very thing to quickly set the S/P moving north again very quickly after the R/I.

Does not happen often. Then again, this is just the start IMO. For this reason i will continue to hold NTUOA's and convert some. At present it looks like NTUOB's are the Hotproperty:)
