A bit disappointing, but understandable I guess, given that funding is up in the air untill we get the senate back to work on the ukrane( and leu) funding bill. One bright side is that the longer Doe stall the closer Gle will be to start up of the test loop. You would think our case for funding would be enhanced by a running test loop.
"ENRICHMENT AND DECONVERSION PROPOSALS DOE also issued its first request for proposal to award one or more contracts to deconvert HALEU uranium hexafluoride into chemical forms that can be used to fabricate fuels for advanced reactor developers. The Department plans to issue a second, separate proposal early next year that will seek contracts to acquire, store, and transport enriched uranium hexafluoride. The contracts are expected to be awarded in 2024 through the HALEU Availability Program with funding support from the Inflation Reduction Act. "
