How often does the power go out around your place?

My place in the Perth suburbs is lucky to lose power once or twice a year and never for much longer than a couple of hours.

My home up the coast in a small costal village averages 6-12 losses of power a year and this year there’s been 5 opportunities to apply for a payout from Western power owing to the fact that the electricity didn’t come back on in under 12 hours.

Losing electricity isn’t such a terrible thing, when you get used to it but us regional types are used to this fact of life.

The real humour is gunna happen when the Urban types have to adjust to the intermittent nature of being connected to the regional types of networks (if Bowen doesn’t really stuff up Big Time) .

But don’t feel to bad, us regional types will end up with even worse reliability problems.

Whatever anyone believes about MMCC the biggest con isn’t the Co2 levels but the story that solar and wind are cheaper and can fill the void once coal is gone.
That is the greatest joke being played on us
