Hippocrates would be fascinated to see what he started. he overturned the established beliefs that diseases were caused by "humours", gods and evil spirits by considering the possibility of natural phenomena, i.e. diet, lifestyle and environmental factors such as sewage.
Hippocrates would not be fascinated to see natural remedies being replaced by chemical toxins being pumped into our bodies via ''modern food like products'' and what you like to refer to as ''modern medicine''
If you want to see what Hippocrates would have endorsed - just look at the Blue Zones
Alternatively look how sick our society has become despite vast amounts of money being spent on ''Health''.
Without getting into all the various illnesses afflicting society - ask yourself why so many young people are now contracting cancer
I would not be surprised if our life expectancy takes a few steps backwards in the future judging by the baffling deaths of so many young folk these days
