This the 50th anniversary of the 74 floods that covered the most of Queensland. But going by the media etc you would have thought that Brisbane was the only area flooded. One property in the head waters of a major Gulf river had 1800 mls (72" ) in 48 hours not bad for a place that has a 650ml (26") average. Oh sorry this is all unprecedented and never ever happened before for the people with short memories and attention spans.
