…and I stand by that. The clear point was that short-term traders’ plans go to sh!t when issues and delays arise, even if those issues and delays are hardly surprising in this industry.
Imo anyone investing with relatively “serious” dollars - who aims to realise truly life-changing returns over the longer term - doesn’t (or shouldn’t, imo) really care if that takes a year or three longer than they initially expected.
Let’s take your own example of someone with 5M shares (not common afaict btw): why should they be stressing about whether it takes 1 or 3 (or even 5) years for them to make 2/3/4 million dollars? Sure, sooner is better, but imo anyone complaining about that surely doesn’t have much else to complain about in their lives!
Hence the pip traders chasing short-term gains are the ones that whine loudest when their plans are upended. We had a bloke here tell us about buying in early 2022 as he expected big things within 6 months, and was clearly chasing a surge based on expected announcements…. Turned out he doubled his money within 12 months, then rode it down to red….and was then complaining. Go figure.
I often spot the flip-flopping of some poster’s support and commentary, which is clearly aligned with their trading positions at that time, and they hardly even attempt to “hide” it. It’s not even subtle, most of the time. Same on many stocks.


That does NOT mean that “ANYONE seeking a less risky entry” falls into that group of pip-trading scalpers. I never said that or even remotely implied that. But of course, again, you know that and you know exactly what you’re doing!
