It begs us to apply logic and reason to tease out the deeper meanings. Remember scripture starts with God, an essence of 100% absolute abstraction whose nature is unknowable. It then passes through the lens of the likes of Jesus and Moses, etc, is then transcribed into human words and human concepts. It then enters the consciousness of each human or human collectives and is once again coloured by ignorance, prejudice, or wisdom. Certain individuals claim to have superior knowledge and gather flocks of people who then suffer the collective errors of some religious egomaniac, or worse. But the basis of scripture is a prescription for living collectively with love and reciprocity. Basically heaven on earth, but we are very slow on the uptake.

I don't dismiss any scripture. I said evidence properly presented. You'll have to show where I have gone wrong. I didn't say right or wrong. I'm saying there is evidence if you don't dismiss what is properly presented. So it would depend on where you go for what is properly presented.
