Netanyahu has been itching to go to war with Iran for ages. Not that the Israelis would do much fighting - oh no!
Netanyahu, with the help of pro-Israel pressure groups in the States, would implicate Americans, silly enough, to do the fighting for Israel, at a great financial cost to the ordinary, regular American taxpayers. Not to mention the human cost - killed and maimed US soldiers.
Would it be fair to say that Israel and its 'very special' relationship with the US, has been a curse for the American people for many years now?
