Er… do you understand business? Debt free or not, there is only so long a company can go on making losses before it ceases to be a viable company. Appen is not debt-free by choice at the moment. It is debt free because no-one is willing to lend them money with their current trajectory. If they need further cap raises, their future is as uncertain as a mining speccy on the ASX.
