Ruled out Really? Im not from pharma... but its a business like others P&L, competitors, market etc.... right?
You may be correct, they may not have started to negotiate bcs they feel that theyre better off waiting for strategic reasons but... to assume theyre not....
Imagine a developer in your area who has demonstrated an ability to build apartments before announces they will now seek to build the highest, most 'bestest' penthouse around everyone will want it.. maybe some will say I'm not negotiating on it till its built, till I can walk through it.
Others (lets call them the early birds) will say show me the plans? How much? When will it complete (lol), etc.... and they will negotiate, and committ obviously subject to the completion.
No idea if these guys are or are not, but as they say
..the early bird get the worm... and its potentially a very juicy worm. I suspect a few birds may have set the alarm
