I see @yaschmidt has provided some good answers already.
I'd add that Allkem (the Orocobre part) produces Lithium Carbonate from Brines in Argentina (the Cauchari Olaroz Lithium Project) ... goes all the way back to 2010 when Orocobre and Toyota-Tsusho announced their JV to develop the project ... it started producing Carbonate from brine in ~2015. Around 2019 construction started on the Naraha Hydroxide facility in Japan. I'd also note that Livent also does further conversion from Carbonate produced at its Argentine brine project (Hombre Muerto) in Bessemer City, North Carolina USA.
