I have two good tips for Tomatoes...
1) Best tip ever is to plant a banana peel under each sapling - by the time the plant is mature, the banana has decomposed and is very high in Potassium, which is a flowering/fruiting necessity.
2)Dont let your tomatoes go sideways, keep them going straight up, by taking out the little new shoot that comes between the main stem and its first branches - pinch it out and your plant will put it energy into height like you have NEVET seen before - i've grown some 12 - 14 footers, which i turn into vine/truss style tomatoes when they get too laden.
