Typically, the case will settle just before the second or third hearing months or years from now. The defendant will offer the full amount with no interest or costs. The plaintiff will accept rather than go through the risk of a trial and then the legal wrangling to recover the (possible) award.
While far from a disaster, this is in no way a positive for CFE.
What with the mining tax and other Government BS, perhaps the Chinese will decide to pull up stakes and we will get the asset back some distant time in the future.
Why should they throw good money after bad in this country when Africa and S. America beckon for the price of a few briefcases filled with cash?
