I like the “civil discussion” bit.. I honestly don’t think Paul nor the board will accept any low ball offers, given that he has mentioned at the Noosa mining conference about 30%, US $3 billlion non voting strategic stake in CBMM by the Chinese, Korean and Japanese just to secure supply. So Paul clearly has a number in his head already should suitors come knocking. I don’t think we will see any suitors until the economics of Luni is proven, as Rolf has eluded to. I am thinking suitors won’t show their hands until at least the scoping study comes out when LOM, measured tonnage and grades come more transparent. I can at least see RIO having a “civil discussion” with WA1 should their nearology play ends up being a dud.
