In the transition period your number of shares are now being recorded/managed by the issuers(splitits) share registry. That is Automic.
Your broker(commsec/stake/selfwealth) no longer has the shares registered (removed from your trading platform) and they therefore cease to be CHESS sponsored and therefore need to be recorded/counted somewhere....Automic as the issuers share registry.
All splitit shares are a new issuer sponsored holding in Automics system.
Simple as that really.
I believe the company is currently still the same (although not on ASX) until the rest of the company mergers etc are completed with the Cayman entities...hence still being Splitit Payments.
