globally you have a valid point. but look to see which countries are increasing emissions and why.
but china has curtailed its coal plant construction plans 2 years ago. still the China emissions will continue to climb as coal plants come on line and will remain so for some years yet. Like India and some undeveloped nations, they are trying to achieve full electricity production for all citizens.
yet many developed nations are in the process of reducing emissions, eg UK, and most EU countries. those that aren't have been caught up in stupid political power wars, such as we have faced these last 20 years. this has retarded the transition.
off-shoring has been a factor for 30 years now. nothing to do with AGW emissions reduction. another straw argument.
