MEI represents 15% of my overall portfolio. Most of it is in very safe Investment Trusts. I use 25% for speculative investments. When I've done my research and it is a lot of research, as many wise investors on this jolly forum do, you place a bet. And it is a bet, but ptovided you have undertaken the correct research, coupled with a sprinkling of luck, all will be well.
Tolga has supported the wonderful Dr Tunks and they both needed a sprinkling of this hard-to-come-by dust.
But the real reason is vision on both their accounts. They were due a break and got one. They looked at Brazil and off they went. And they raised 25m overnight when the sale of the goldmine failed to come up with the cash. To me that says it all.
I'm a business person and investor, have been even before I retired. But it is still hard work. In the now famous words of corporal Jones from Dad's Armey "don't panic"
