"IMO the situation had never really been cleared up to the extent that shareholders deserve." - that's what i am researching on the other thread as well. There's a queue - hasn't anyone noticed?

some further context is supplied below, (no claim to fullness that is not possible)

When AVZ announced on May 4 2022, the mining decree, and media speculation statement, this was 9/8 days after the Minister of Mines had rubber stamped the issuance of the Mining license decree. on April 25 This is step 1 of 2 as many know was with Jean Felix Mupande head of CAMi. In October 2018, Nigel told a HKMIa investor conference, the mining license would take a month--how times had changed in 2020 to 2021 and onwards. I can source that video.

April 26 AI published an article (below). They contacted AVZ for comment. "When contacted, AVZ did not respond to our requests for further information."

But there is some more detail, others please add if you wish, so we have some more coherence:

May 4 - AVZ reacts to media speculation and announces mining license decree and a decision on the exploration tenement
AVZ state they are not a party to court proceedings involving Dathcom and Graeme Johnston. AI reports Dathcom made representations, access is easy here (if reliable source https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/61026538/single ) :
AVZ state "tribunal decision" subject to appeal. AVZ does not state who and what appeal. Confusion foments.

April: Nigel mysteriously in Germany, EU spruiking AVZ with Axino, including, "exit strategies" (see AI article; Miljew extracted [if releiable] https://hotcopper.com.au/posts/61026538/single )
someone will eventually leak what was contained.

April 26- AVZ shareholders gaslight each other on AI article and believe Nigel who is always accurate, timelessly. Note January 11 2021 email from Nigel Ferguson (according tot this shareholder) is two months after AI article. #gaslight-central biggrin.png "sold out too early, "bitter" "shorters who got burnt".

April 26 - Africa intel publishes article indicating issues for Dathcom.
April 25 2022- MOM rubber stamped Mining decree

DRC - Africa Business forum - [AVZ believes it can win, finally.]

May 17 2021 -Mining Licence Application Lodged with DRC Government- https://www.asx.com.au/asx/statistics/displayAnnouncement.do?display=pdf&idsId=02375008
May 14 - Dathomir's lawyer sends letter to AVZ on it's position (presumeably this was not the first)

May 10 - draft Ministerial decree announced by AVZ
April 27 2021 newly formed DRC government

Basic summary, in my opinion is, it can work to AVZ's advantage that it is in suspension, that with the Africa intel article, AVZ needed a good excuse to 'pull over' and go into suspension. Any shenanigans by JFM may also suit AVZ because with AI article it lost control of the narrative, imo.

What else explains the MoM rubber-stamping on April 25, if an agreement (verbal also) had been reached, perhaps chaos was needed to effect a suspension (it's a plausible scenario), because the power of the ASX is also who AVZ is afraid of.

In my view, AVZ's problems started in 2018 and markedly in 2021.

I am not sure like Roon that outsiders, and especially company shills have the full picture, @sydneyguy is right to question exploration costs and Cominiere did make a fuss about seeing AVZ's books--it's possibly seeking to undermine AVZ. Does AVZ have something to conserve from partners, from everyone? That would hypothetically change the perspective on everything,
