The statement "being necessary" is a fluid thing. Can be totally correct on the date of making it on current plans but then they get a phone call to do something much bigger and faster from a potential new customer or old customer that had a look see but now wants to use the product around the world.
Big company will help in various ways but to be negotiated - > Advert for someone that can do this well happens pronto.
