The fact is Hertz did buy them. at whatever price Tesla required. Maintenace and customer desires did not make it a profitable business so now they are selling. Some portion of these 20,000 vehicles will go to people who would not afford EVs at show Room price Some will displace new sales. I still maintain that Hybrids are a much better solution right now. EVs will come and at some point, will be 100% of new car sales. Question is not if but when. JMO it is out at least a few decades or two till they totally dominate the market.
