Blythefan you have made a couple of points regarding IRR and I can't find in which post you mentioned I think BHP and possibly another company that could only achieve IRR's of 30odd to 40%. The implication was I assume that if BHP can't get higher IRRs than that then CDU has no show of getting above say 50%. Am I right in that impression?

Is it not harder for big lumbering conglomerate type companies with huge corporate structures that have large legal, image and property costs (not to mention the inflated salaries that are part of working inside the establishment) to get anywhere near an IRR that a smaller entity MAY be able to achieve?

I have seen claims of IRRs of close to 80% from smaller ASX200 companies - PRU is one that I hold - that maybe better comparisons than the BIG AUSSIE MINER. Would it be fairer to compare CDU to something a bit less BIG? I understand a lot of the assumptions I and others are making are based on the JORC figures only and a fair bit of "best case scenario" but I find comparing any company other than similar valued entities a bit of a waste of time so mentioning BHP could well be a bit premature LOL.

I am not being critical but am just trying to get a handle on whether I am part of the biggest fraud since ABC Learning or that WM is "smarter than the average bear".

Your posts are very thought provoking and seem to be well informed but I'm a bit of a cynic (maybe not cynical enough about the company if it turns out to be a damp squib) about the many charitable posters that offer up numerous posts in the hope of educating holders of paper that they themselves do not hold. There must be better things to do but if you are being generous I thank you.

I am ANXIOUSLY awaiting the next installment in this long running production but not losing sleep over it after the initial shock of the JORC statement.

I will state that I am not a trader but try to invest for the longer term.....
