Maybe, some good ideas!

It'd be really hard to see a brand new CEO wanting to throw the towel in and "merge" or "sell" himself out of a job in the first couple of years. He's only just relocated his life from the USA to Australia after all!

If I was the new CEO I'd go hard and go early with changes, maybe cut the dividend to something sustainable, like 4c a year, and then use the saved capital to re-invest into starting new funds or initiatives. As a new CEO you are better off going hard and doing something drastic early as you can always "blame" the need for your first few changes on the old management.

I think they have only started 1 new fund strategy in the last 15yrs or so - the Transition Fund. It looks like an ok fund, but a single thematic fund is never going to be enough to turn this big ship around.
