yes, damn right CCS is a joke. unless they can reduce Co2 to a solid substance that can be reused as graphene, theres no practical solution to such efforts.
there are loads of arguments against nuclear and I'm well versed in them myself, but there're also strong arguments in favour. it all comes down to the potential that SMR offers. if it can be done seriously as a modular unit that requires little attention and ready removal for recycling, and ensure safe containment, I really see the inevitability of nuclear in future years. not the conventional plants though. too costly with high maintenance and risk.
yet the tech has decades to become more refined and user friendly. this will come acorn. unless fusion becomes a reality.
