    Hi Voltaire,

    Here's a link to some reasearch supporting the notion that apes indeeed have the abilty to know right from wrong. Not surprising, given that humans are simply the third species of chimanzee. The other two being bonobos and the common chimp.

    Be interesting to know what other, presumably social, animals that have this ability. The neural structures and empirical observations of elephants and dolphins certainly support the notion that they experience empathy, which is a necessary precursor to a sense of right and wrong. Difficult to say how dolphins or whales got to the tree. Must have gone for a jog.
