China Taiwan and REs

I made a new thread since some posters may not see relevance to Lynas and RE geopolitics as I do with the China Taiwan tensions. And, I see in some point in time the discussion will merge into Lynas in a very strong way. In this article what is poinient is that the Kuomindeng campaigner had to tone down his rhetoric in wanting better relations with China to improve his vote count. Remembering his party historically have been the most pro- China party of Nationalist Taiwan. With Increasing anti Chinese sentiment he had to curtail his thoughts, a move now that Pres. XI will have even more concern with as it is a clear signal Taiwan's emerging youth want change. Kuomindeng lost votes due to their older candidates and stubbornness for fresh ideas, since they grew up with more mainland influences. Whilst nearly all my inlaws voted blue my partner supported the greens since from living in a western country she can see the staleness and unprofessionally of the KMT to handle the China issue despite this party just wanting Taiwan to follow the same path it is today. CJ may be correct IMO. RE prices may be at near bottoms as I think Chinas retaliation to Taiwanese sentiment will result in sanctions, tariffs, more boycotts, of Taiwanese industries. Maybe these hostilities will trigger more diversification from Chinese products and services and I'm picturing Chinese to manipulate the RE supplies much further. The delegation going through Taiwan from the USA will displease XI for the second time this month. The question my fame wonders is when will he make his mark. They suggest well within William Laus 4 year term of office. I think much sooner but as a westerner I have many opinions different to my Taiwanese family and friends and I think the geopolitics that plays out will affect Lynas immensely.
