If Ganfeng believed there would be an ongoing supply shortage over the term of the new offtake extensions then they would not enter those contract extensions and expansions - they’d just buy on spot basis …. But, seems to me that they don’t see an ongoing supply surplus and this are locking up access to quality spod now. I wonder what that might mean in terms of actual supply vs the supply you are being “told”?
Please also show me where contract offtake prices got to the $8400/dmt USD you have stated. I don’t think they did did they? Certainly a single spot supply cargo did … but that wasn’t contact pricing was it … maybe select stats which are applicable.
