Unfortunately, you're still missing the point. This isn't the first time that an Australian rare earths article doesn't mention Lindian (but maybe, the twentieth time or so in the last year- some of which have been highlighted on this very forum). Lindian hardly ever appears in rare earths articles, unlike many of its peers and especially MEI.
Scrooge, your very good analysis of Lindian's drop compared to the rare earths index, also fails to account for the difference between good marketing and Lindian.
The proof is very simple. Compare MEI which has good marketing to Lindian which has virtually none:
Good marketing generates awareness and interest = lots of people following and buying. Having lots of people involved also makes it much harder for the daily, blatant manipulation that we continue to see on Lindian.
Another proof point is a simple comparison of the large numbers following and posting on the MEI's Hot Copper forum versus the very low numbers on Lindian.
Imagine if we had good marketing (or even any marketing at all) to create awareness and interest in our
world's biggest and greenest resource?
There can be no doubt that we'd leave MEI behind eating our dust!
MEI are very much the outliers in your rare earths index drop analysis which again proves the value of marketing in an otherwise depressed rare earths market.
Moreover, they've been proving it for some time now.
So, the question must be asked - why aren't we doing it?
It can only be either incompetence or malfeasance?
I'm sure MEI (or anyone) would give their eye teeth to be able to market a resource which is both the world's biggest and greenest (and maybe even the cheapest to extract)?
