Yes and no. the cost of production will be $800US, however, say the JV is making $100 dollars profit per tonne it will be split 75:25%. However, conversely if we are loosing $100 per Tonne the JV partners will have to share that loss 75:25%. The cost of production will remain the same- it's just the proportionate share of the profit and loss when looking at JV. PLL will be entitled to 25% of Revnue as well as cost, so you just can't take it off production costs- you need to take it off revenue as well. The net results is 25% share of profit or loss.
