As a kid, I would go way off the beaten track with my father. Out Urandangi way, following the Georgina River. No service stations out there. Many a time we would have to find diesel at cattle bore windmills. The property owners often had 44’s at these locations. My father would leave money for the diesel and a thank you note. Range anxiety? Absolutely.
