You are correct & that is a possibility and has occurred previously is multiple CKD trials (for overwhelming efficacy at interim analysis) the DSMB had recommended to stop the trial/s early. Plenty of examples to google, a lot in DKD.
This could occur at week 104 I’m guessing, when eGFR endpoint is assessed and the timepoint where accelerated approval may happen.
So yes a very valid point there.
