I think you are thinking of a SUSPENSION vs a TRADING HALT.
Orders aren't purged on a trading halt. ASX Market participants are able to place, amend or cancel orders for, but are not able to trade in, the securities.
Current orders that are in place now should remain so (unless they move to Suspension).
