well done rotten - another quality post and sure enough, a thumbs up for it. its a joke this place.

anyway jonkey, thoughts on those idiots who do everything in life to increase income, without due consideration to tax, welfare, time cost etc.

i earn a fulltime income where i am able to do overtime regularly if i wish but dont because....

1. the extra tax payable
2. the reduced welfare for 4 kids.
3. the less time at home to do other things.

the 3rd point is one often lost on so many people. they work so hard at bringing in extra income to pay for...

1. more child care
2. more eating out as too tired to cook
3. paying others to do work they could do themselves, if they had more time.

wake up folks. dont do the overtime and care for your kids yourself more, do those household jobs yourself and cook your own meals.

if you are single, and no kids, most of this wont apply.

how many of you could sit down for an hour, look at your family incomes, line up the factors above and realise you could work less, or one of the family not work at all, and still be better off.

uh oh - i said i get welfare - im in trouble now !!!
