I can give you actual numbers based on my last property investment
Bank ~9k (fees + interest, 80k loaned)
Council ~6k (for doing nothing, it was a vacant block)
Mowing ~1.6k
RE-Agent 8.7k
Government 8.2k
lawyers/settlement 1.5k
about 20k left over, tax to be paid on that
this is on a property that went up 20% during the GFC!
imagine if the price went sideways for three years?
