• “TREY” means 14 lanthanides (REE) plus yttrium (Y), 1,992 pm or 0.1992% as rare earth elements;

• 27,500,000 tons of resource as per above resource estimate multiplied by 0.1992% TREY results in 54,780 t of total REE content;

• The TREY recovery rate as per above resource estimate is 22.82%., which means estimated 12,500 t of total REE recovery over life of mine. Too little;

• Above 63,000 kg resource only yielding 40 kgs of ‘clean rare earth’ even suggests a recovery rate of only 6%;

• At 6% recovery rate the life of mine output of Aclara’s Penco would be 3,300 t of REE, being less than the quarterly output of Lynas.

China-related IAC miners in Southeast Asia reportedly achieve above ~90% recovery.

No surprise if Aclara look for greener pastures elsewhere.
