NSC paid Teck $1.3 billion plus $400 million in future payments plus giving up a small interest in one of Teck's met coal mines for a 20% interest in Teck's met coal spinoff to Glencore. This will amount to roughly 5 millin tons/yr. Not sure if they're short/long tons, I suspect short. As a rough and SWAG maybe WHC can get $1.5-2 billion(USD) for 30% interest, maybe $1-1.5 billion for 20% based on the Teck/NSC deal. Met coal has strengthened in the months since the Teck/Glencore/NSC deal and WHC is probably getting multiple offers. So I am looking forward to a big positive change in WHC's balance sheet in the coming quarters. King Efiing COAAAAAALLLLLL!!!!!!
