I’m not saying there is or there isn’t but…just want to put this out there. Have you heard of Wumao? Or even social media influencers. “Key” opinion leaders. Social media isn’t just trolls. Remember how political it can get with influences over ads, social media - etc..

End of the day Hotcopper is purported to be one of Australia’s largest sharetrading discussion board. A social media platform. There are paid articles here, there are podcasts, and videos posted here, there are users with thousands of followings. They are social media “influencers” for a reason. You’d be surprised at what people can sell over social media and for what markup. I wouldn’t be surprised what could be promoted or not promoted here. An opinion piece here, or a narrative there, coverage here, or no coverage. It contributes.

I do want to make clear that I’m not saying it happens, but I wouldn’t be surprised if HC isn’t included in some social media “campaigns”, I mean - it already is and can be paid for via market herald, etc.. list goes on. They won’t be paid explicitly to write negatively - but maybe cover this stock and give your opinion on it!
