1 January when Australia was founded or July 9 when Australia's constitution was adopted makes logical sense.
Or like New Zealand's national day, when a Treaty is signed with Maoris and the constitution is born. While a Treaty is still missing in Australia and all the States all making progress, we'll probably just stick with July 9.
