Unfortunately no it is not a January or temporary thing. Debt out of control at individual, company, and govt levels means demand is getting destroyed.
This is why metals are falling in value in general and why we are getting mine closures and losses of jobs in Australia now. The cycle is only now becoming very apparent as these things speed up. It has in fact already been in progress for some months unobserved by most. It takes some months of losses for companies to finally close down mines losing money.
