I swear, Aussies have been brainwashed so much to think that dividends are a "good thing" regardless of circumstances.

Last thing we should want is a company that doesn't have franking credits like NIC to pay a dividend at all, much rather them use it for investment in the company/paying debt/capex than spitting out money that will be heavily taxed just for the sake of it.

If they want to return value at some point then just do buybacks, screw dividends in a company like this. If you want dividends go buy shares in one of the Big Four banks or something, that's not what we should be advocating for here.
