Had an interesting conversation today with the pro tree lopper who was next door cutting down my neighbours big gumtree that was up against my fence (hooray!) It was so quiet ! He said ALL the pros are now opting for lithium chainsaws. He just upgraded all of his power saws to lithium over Christmas and just keeps the old gas one as standby. Lighter and easy to carry up a tree. He showed me the two of them he carries. No noise! No need for ear muffs, just safety glasses. Anyone who thinks the gas ones are better have no idea he said. I'd agree. We're not talking about ol' Macka the lumberjack in the forest here, they're history anyway.
