I am not a fan of consolidations but in some markets a CR is easier to achieve at a higher share price.
If you try to discuss a ASX junior with a TSXv investor and they see the miner has billions of shares out you will get laughed out of the room.
Its the mindset. Its taken me awhile to adjust my mind set with a switch to the ASX
