I believe this code 0442U is a PLA code not a CPT code.
I posted this information previously, trying to explain where we are possibly at with a CPT code.
This could be a question to pose to Doug at the next meeting or webinar i.e. CLIA waiver & CPT code application timing process.
My guess would be the CPT code gets allocated after the CLIA waiver where FebriDx could then be sold to clinics i.e. doctors, as they would need this code to get reimbursed. Not sure if there would be a lag time though between the CLIA waiver and CPT code, or if an interim code could be used in the case of FebriDx while we wait for a new code, as previously discussed back in 2021.
