J. Mills, Equity Research Analyst at Morningstar, was asked the question on 23.1.24 by J.Gruber, re 2024, "What are your Top 2 picks for Australian Mining stocks?".
In his reply, Mills nominated WHC as one of his Top 2 picks for CY 2024. Mills said
"The other one I would mention is Whitehaven, an Aussie thermal coal miner that just bought two of BHP's metallurgical coal mines. It remains materially undervalued. We think that is because a lot of investors don't like being exposed to coal".
