As someone who agrees with many of your posts and lives here in the States, this post of yours is a bit of nonsense.

To begin with, because I don’t trust any of our media, I tend to record an hour of Fox, CNN and MSNBC, and then watch them late at night, and I heard about the Tesla resale “issues,” and the “Hertz dumping 10,000 EVs for ICEs” story from CNN, first, MSNBC second, and Fox, last. To make sure everyone understands the positions of the three major cable news networks, MSNBC is so far left, they think Stalin was a pussy, CNN used to be fair, but drifted to a Socialist mouthpiece once they realized they had overdone the Trump coverage in 2016, and actually helped him get elected (when they thought getting him to be the Republican nominee would ensure Hillary would win) and Fox is the right wing outlet.

Furthermore, your talk of peasants and the proletariat is generally VERY insulting, here in the States. We all believe that, even though we all understand that the BEOT have unfair advantages, we also still believe in “the little man” being able to start with nothing and rise to the top. We’re still the country where a street level dope dealer like Jay-Z can literally become a billionaire!

You would make a much more compelling argument if you could avoid exuding so much contempt for people who you clearly know NOTHING about based solely on your political views.

The truth is, the ONLY reason that Republicans tend to prefer ICEs to EVs is that Republicans tend to live in rural areas where EV charging is almost non-existent and most have trucks, which are often utilized to haul heavy loads long distances, while Democrats are almost entirely (95%+) found in urban environments, where charging is much more accessible.

I live in South California, where the population is roughly 70/30, Democrat to Republican, but I know more Republicans who own EVs than Democrats, and the Republican that owns the consultancy I work for purchased 12 EVs to spread among staff (and we only have 34 employees).

Donald Trump is just as incompetent and self-absorbed as Joe Biden. They’re BOTH incompetent, self-absorbed criminals who belong in prison. It’s unfathomable to me that these two senile old men are the best this country of 330M has to offer, but the truth is, neither one of them is going to do ANYTHING to help or hurt EV production.

To be totally honest, based on what both did in their presidencies, Biden is done, and will tap out because he needs the backing of the UAW, while Trump will be happy to spend the IRA money Biden has managed, and then will criticize Biden for not doing enough, excoriate Biden for allowing China to get ahead of the US in car manufacturing, and seek even more funding to “keep America great” (even though that is also a load of crap).

Please don’t bring political insults into what is supposed to be an intelligent conversation. Do politics matter? Yes, sometimes. Do insults about “swamp dwelling nimrods” add ANYTHING to the discussion? Not one iota. What makes your post “less than average” is that much of it is simply poorly informed, and nearly as ignorant as it is insulting.
