Australia day is a great day.
A day we celebrate how lucky we are to be Australians and how great the country is.
One thing l really like about today is the Australian of the year awards. Not just for the winner(s) but also for all the nominees. Great people from all round Australia doing great things for their communities. Quite often going largely unnoticed . They are real Australians that should be celebrated much more imo.

Australia day should be a day for all Australians. As we have discovered recently, no one really knows for sure why the 26th was chosen . What we do know is that it is particularly unpleasant for indigenous Australians.
That's why we should change the date so that
every Australian can join together and celebrate what could be an even better day.
