well below their peak of 7% a year ago.. id say its traders hoping for gold to pull back.. there are forecasters to fit whatever bias you want at the moment. some are bullish that 2k is the new support.. others predict a pull back alongside a liquidity event effecting all markets. ive seen forceasts as low as 1200 USD in the last week.
there is definitely a pattern every night that gold gets a smackdown in the quietest times of trade.
