my new coffee grinder (got it for Christmas) has 30 settings for coarseness. I was using a lower setting as I thought that was better, so I used between 5-8 for a long while. Some days it was too bitter, or wouldn't filter the water properly. Today, I switched to a setting of 20, and found it to be quite smooth with no filtration issue. I'll likely try it again for a few days to replicate the results and see if they're consistent. I've probably run through 'tests' about 50+ times so far, and still haven't tried half the settings. So in my experience... I think 78+ times for a filtration issue regarding a highly specialised BG lithium chemical is probably about right...
