Below are four different TA approaches. Is there a change in trend coming? Or will market power dominate price rather than the fundamental value of the assets? There are some hints below in the TA. Probability is not certainty but it greatly assists in managing risk over time.
I prefer to look at the weekly Weinstein which currently in the last stage (Stage 4) before accumulation. That occurs in the main in Stage 1. Stage 1 does have pullbacks and Fibonacci is commonly used in Stage 1 to determine pullback depth. Turnover adds to trading profit or may lower average cost if in for the long run. The daily Weinstein chart happens to be in Stage 1. The weekly chart still has a negative SAR and the daily SAR has just turned negative recently. This maybe a sign of market tests rather than market uncertainty by traders, not those with with market power who are on both sides of the trade.
To take out some of the market noise, the old point and figure chart can be used. It indicates a double bottom on a support line. This is a strong indicator for a change in trend. The Elliot waves on the daily chart indicate the same thing. Note the Elliot Wave chart below uses rounded off prices at this price level. So the different TA methods are indicating a general confluence in the direction of future prices.
If we consider another method called, volume spread analysis (VSA), a sign of strength can be seen in potential stopping volumes. Read the script on these charts to see what the pros may be doing in exercising market power.
TA IMO, should of course be considered in light of the fundamentals. Over time, the TA represents the fundamental value of a stock. Fluctuations usually return to average in the long run. Time will tell, it always does. While the pros may start to accumulate because they can influence price, it may be prudent to wait for price to rise a tad from the bottom pivot.
